2. This form is utilized to notify RCACP that an individual has found a pet. Members of the public may keep a found animal at their home for the stray hold if they prefer. To do this, you must complete this form and/or contact the shelter at 540-344-4922 to report that the animal has been found. If the owner of the animal is found, the shelter staff will contact you to release the animal to the rightful owner. Please be aware that residents who chose to keep the animal during the stray hold are responsible for the care and well-being of the animal, including medical care and keeping the animal contained during the stray hold.
